Warren Colman at the Journal of Analytical Psychology wrote a review of Powder Dreams for their February 2012 edition. Here is an excerpt:

"Despite his comments on his publisher's website that writing about an analysis in a novel in an interesting and authentic way is painfully difficult, David Ward-Nanney has been very successful in doing so. Notwithstanding that this is necessarily fictionalized, his account of Bo Grayson's analysis is a fascinating window into what a classical analysis may be like from a patient's point of view."
